Garofalo Family
The Kids' Place is owned by the Garofalo family. Tony and Jessica purchased the business in 2018 after Jess had been teaching there for 10 years. All five of their boys attended preschool at The Kids' Place and their daughter, Lauren helps run the business.
Jess Garofalo started at The Kids' Place in 2003 as a parent when her oldest son Joey, was attending preschool there. In 2008, she became the 2 and 3 year old teacher and then moved up to become the 4 and 5 year old teacher. In 2016 she took over as Director and in May of 2018 she purchased the business. In her spare time, Miss Jess is an advocate for foster youth and does numerous fundraisers to bring awareness to local foster groups.
Lauren Garofalo started at the preschool in 2017 and has been a huge asset to the program. She is the lead teacher of the preschool afternoon program and brings years of experience with her. Lauren is a Liberal Arts major and is currently attending Sacramento State. She enjoys sports, and fishing in her down time.
